Training
You do not need an advanced degree or any special experience to help prevent violence!
We're leveraging the power of sports to prevent sexual assault and dating abuse. Team Up Washington is an initiative that trains high school coaches to support their youth athletes to be a part of the solution. These Train-the-Trainer events for coaches, mentors, and advocates provide an overview of the evidence-based violence prevention programs, Athletes as Leaders and Coaching Boys Into Men, and explore how it can be used to empower student athletes to end violence.
Team Up Washington offers three trainings per year for coaches and mentors interested in bringing Athletes as Leaders or Coaching Boys into Men to their communities: Late summer, prior to the fall high school sports season; late fall, prior to the winter sports season; and late winter, prior to the spring sports season.
training events are free and open to any coach, athletic director, team mentor, or advocate.

Hello Coaches, Athletic Directors, Advocates and Allies!
We’re excited to bring the Winter Training for coaches and mentors the evidence-based leadership curriculum, Athletes as Leaders and Coaching Boys into Men, that have proven effective at increasing teamwork and violence prevention. Have a hard time making it to one of our in-person training events? No worries, this accessible format is for coaches across the State and region who would like to get trained to implement these student athlete development programs that create positive community leaders and reduce unwanted harassment, abuse and problematic behaviors.
We look forward to seeing you there!
